LINE just launched the new “chat room classification” feature in the Android version of LINE Labs a while ago, allowing Android users to be the first to experience the new chat room paging, making the messages on the chat page tidier and reducing the problem of users not being able to find friends’ messages. Recently, LINE released the 10.8.2 version update for the Android version, adding the left-swipe to reply to specified message function that has been available on the iOS version for some time:
You and I chat with friends in the LINE chat room. Sometimes the two parties are engaged in multiple different topics at the same time during the chat. If an Android user wants to reply to a certain message from a friend, they can only long press the message box and then click “Reply” to reply to the specified message:
However, after LINE Android has been updated to the latest version 10.8.2, if the user wants to reply to a friend’s specific message in the chat room, they only need to slide to the left side of the screen on the message until the reply icon appears on the screen and then release. At this time, the message box will be displayed in the message input field. You can directly enter the message and send it to reply to the specified message:
If you choose to reply to a specific message when replying, the message box will also excerpt part of the other party’s message. This can also effectively prevent your friends from mistaking the reply content and causing embarrassment. Of course, the original designated message reply function of long-pressing the message box is still retained. Users can choose the most common way to reply to friends’ messages according to their own usage habits.
