The Google Pixel 11 series only officially announced its release date yesterday.The latest leaked prices may prompt many people to hold off on purchasing. According to foreign media reports, the Pixel 11 series could see across-the-board price increases in Europe, affecting everything from the base Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro, to the Pixel 11 Pro XL and even the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold. However, it’s not simply a straightforward price hike—the reports also suggest the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro may drop the 128GB starting capacity option, moving up to 256GB as the baseline. This means the base models will have more storage, but the entry price point will also be higher.

The Pixel 11 series is rumored to see an across-the-board price hike in Europe, and if Taiwan follows suit, it could cost NT$3,000 to NT$4,000 more than the Pixel 10.
French website Dealabs Recent leaks reveal the European pricing for the Pixel 11 series. The starting prices might be as follows, with a across-the-board increase of 100 euros compared to the Pixel 10 series:

Looking at just the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro, if the starting storage really does jump to 256GB instead of the Pixel 10 series’ 128GB, that $100/€100 price increase is actually quite reasonable, given how crazy memory prices have been lately. However, for the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, the previous generation already started at 256GB, so if storage stays the same this time but the price goes up $100/€100, that would really be a straight-up price increase.

What about Taiwan? If other countries really all see price increases, there’s no escaping it anyway.
At current exchange rates, 100 USD is approximately NT$3,200, while 100 EUR is roughly over NT$3,600.
On top of that, factoring in taxes, distribution channels, warranty, carrier plans, pre-order campaigns, and the brand’s own pricing strategy, the actual price increase can be roughly estimated at around NT$3,000 to 4,000.

As for the reason for the price increase, it’s likely related to “rising memory and storage costs.” In 2026, not only Google, but also Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series and Motorola’s new Razr series have also seen price increases. The Pixel 11 is more like following the overall market trend.
This poses a challenge for Google, since the Pixel’s historical advantage has been its competitive pricing compared to other flagships in the same tier. If the Pixel 11 goes up in price while the hardware improvements remain marginal, its value proposition will take a hit.

For those who don’t chase the latest specs, don’t care about the newest Tensor chip performance, or don’t need the latest AI features, the Pixel 10 might be the better value.
