Although Taiwan is currently doing a good job in epidemic prevention, so daily life can still run normally (especially compared to foreign countries), in order not to allow Wuhan pneumonia (COVID-19) to take advantage of it due to laxity, basically holiday travel-related units will still recommend not to go to crowded attractions. In order to give everyone a clearer direction and to confirm the crowding status of various attractions, the Ministry of Transportation recently joined hands with the Central Epidemic Command Center to confirm through the big data of Chunghwa Telecom that ” Highway 1968 app “A new crowd warning function has been added. We have also tried the update of the iOS version and will briefly share how to use it.

“Highway 1968 app” has added a crowd warning function, you can rely on it to avoid crowds during holidays!
If you frequently use the 1968 app, you should have noticed that a new “Epidemic Information” button has been added to the main page – after clicking it, a screen will appear along with real-time traffic conditions. However, in addition to the road conditions of national highways, the “Information Filter” function now also has a “Crowd Warning” function – as shown below, it should be easy to find because it is placed at the front:

After briefly checking the attractions in each district, you can see that the App will indicate the crowding level based on Chunghwa Telecom’s data, with green/yellow/red lights showing the current situation (it is said that the data will be updated every 10 minutes):

Then if the map is reduced to a smaller size, clicking on the icon above will display a large range of attractions at once:

In terms of the overall functionality of the app, it’s fairly simple and intuitive to use. However, someone has now discovered thatLeofoo Village, which is not open for business, is also shown to have a red light and is crowded with people. — This is probably because the function has just been launched, so it may not be fully calculated yet, right? :

But at least I didn’t tell you that there were few people, but when you arrived it was full of people (it should have been). All in all, this function is just for everyone’s reference. If you really drive to the scene and find that it’s crowded, you’d better rub your nose and don’t go there or go to other attractions!
