As the number of confirmed cases of Wuhan pneumonia in the United States continues to increase, in addition to the U.S. government, major companies have also joined the ranks of epidemic prevention. For example, Apple recently cooperated with the CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the White House, and FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) to launch the official Wuhan pneumonia app “Apple COVID-19”, which allows all iOS users to quickly test at home whether they belong to a high-risk group and whether they need to go to the hospital through a few simple questions. It also provides a lot of information about Wuhan pneumonia, such as: introduction to the COVID-19 virus and what can be done now? Let me give you a quick introduction below.

Apple Wuhan Pneumonia Apple COVID-19 Official App Introduction
Because Apple COVID-19 is an English version and cooperates with the U.S. government, it seems that it is only available in the United States. It is not yet available for download in the Taiwan App Store. However, people with U.S. accounts can switch there and download it. In my actual test, there is no problem:

After opening it, click “Start Screening” on the screen to start the test. Several questions will be asked to determine whether your current risk is high:

Apple also guarantees that all answers will not be shared with others or Apple without your consent, so you can use them with confidence. Provide two ways to test yourself or help others:

Before the test, you will be asked whether you have any of these five major conditions, such as: persistent chest pain or pressure, very difficult breathing, difficulty walking, etc. If any of these conditions are met, the app will directly recommend calling 911. If not, the detection will start:

Each question will have three or four options, which are basically some possible signs of Wuhan pneumonia, such as whether you have fever, difficulty breathing, sore throat, etc. You can check each question:

After the end, we will tell you the current risk and what to do now based on your answers. As shown in the picture below, it is recommended to self-quarantine at home, do not go out, and do not meet with other people. If any situation arises in the future, you must contact the hospital:

In addition to testing, this app also provides other information references so that we can have a deeper understanding of the Wuhan virus and how to protect ourselves. I think this is very good and can greatly prevent the spread of false information. I really hope there is a Chinese version:

And each content has two types: “short version” and “full version”, which are very easy to absorb:

For those who are interested in downloading but do not yet have a US Apple ID account, you can refer to what we have written beforeApply for teaching, although this article is from Japan, the American method is the same.
