The media reported that this version will soon support the QR code function of Hong Kong’s Octopus card and China’s Alipay and UnionPay cards. It will be directly integrated into Apple Pay. For Hong Kong and Chinese users, it will be a payment application that is closer to life. Apple may open users to update iOS in the early morning of 3/18 13.4.

Support QR code payment
In November 2014, Apple opened the App Store to use China’s UnionPay cards to pay Apple. On December 18, 2015, Apple announced its cooperation with China UnionPay and launched the Apple Pay service in China on February 18, 2016, allowing users to pay directly with iPhone and Apple Watch. Alipay began to be supported in November 2016, and WeChat Pay was not added until August 2017. However, Apple did not previously support the QR code scanning payment and collection functions widely used in China.

Apple Pay users can quickly press the side button twice to pull up the payment interface. In the new version of iOS 13.4, you can set a UnionPay card as the main financial account and make payments by scanning or displaying a QR barcode. Alipay is expected to be supported in iOS 14.

Octopus is online
