“Tetris” is a classic hardcore game that almost everyone has played. Nowadays, with the development of various mobile games, few people will think of it, but I have to say that it is truly an indispensable memory of the game in people’s hearts. Now N3tWork company has obtained the official license to re-create Tetris, which is now available on Android and iOS platforms!

Classic Tetris game returns to Android and iOS
EA once created a Tetris game with more exquisite graphics and no virtual buttons. It has recently announced that it will be closed on April 21, and the new Tetris game created by N3twok is now on the shelves. The app created by N3twork is simple and unpretentious, unlike the company’s Tetris Royale, which competes with 100 players online, but a very basic game. The company’s CEO Neil Young said it is launching in a traditional single-player mode, but wants players to know that the company is fully prepared.

Unlike EA’s old apps, the newly launched Tetris focuses on the classic single-player mode and a small number of appearance options. This game is free to download and play. There are also some ads in the game that you can remove for a one-time cost of $4.99, which is very suitable for killing time while commuting.

Looking back at EA’s first iOS version of Tetris in 2008, priced at $9.99; until 2011, EA re-launched a paid version that added many new features and new game modes to replace the original version. The new app was filled with various in-app purchases. This version also reflected that the future profit model of mobile games will move towards purchasable currency and monthly and annual subscription passes; in 2011 A free version of Nian Tu Nian has also been launched, and of course it still contains ads.

As mobile devices continue to move towards a new era, EA has withdrawn from Tetris. Although the reason is unknown (but most guesses are because it did not obtain a license), with the new Tetris and the upcoming Tetris Royale, we will be able to see N3twork’s attitude towards official licensing.
