The above are the questions that often arise in the mind of the editor who often travels on a motorcycle. Until recently, I discovered an app called “Rain Alarm”, which finally allowed me to get reference information about rainfall in a more real-time and proactive manner. Note, it is really a reference, but to be honest, I have grabbed a lot of similar apps. Basically, they are either not supported in the region, or they are not very usable at all. This is the best one I have used so far.

The app function is actually very simple. The free version only provides limited time intervals and display methods, but I think it is very convenient for viewing general events and trends:

In fact, I personally feel that the strongest function of this app is not in the app, but the “alarm” function that can locate the location at any time to remind you that rain may be coming. When the warning comes, a text description of the percentage of rain intensity in the area will be given to you through the system notification. If you feel that the threat is great, you can click on the notification to enter the App to view the recent cloud trend:

Conclusion
Rain Alarm is an app that I have recently found to be very useful. In addition to supporting Taiwan, we also support many countries that Taiwanese often visit, such as Japan and South Korea. Although the real-time positioning function is probably due to power saving considerations, and because it captures the positioning data of the mobile system, there may still be some delays or errors. But in general, it is a good app that can be used as a backup and allows people to refer to real-time weather conditions. I recommend it to everyone.
