Destroy Any WebsiteThe stress-relief browser game has started going viral in online communities. This new title, created by indie game developer Hugo Duprez, carries on the spirit of 2000s stress-relief Flash mini-games such as “desktop destruction programs,” letting players turn into a stick figure and use all kinds of weapons to wreak havoc on “any” website.
This is a browser game created by Duprez using Sprite Fusion software. Before playing, players do not need to download any files at all; they simply go directly to the game’s official website and enter any website they want to “destroy” into the on-screen menu. They can then control a stick figure, moving around using the website’s images and text as footholds, and use pistols, submachine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers, railguns, flamethrowers, grenades, and other weapons to wreak havoc everywhere.

What’s more, in addition to single-player, this game also supports a multiplayer mode for up to 6 players, and once the destruction meter in the upper-left corner of the screen reaches 100%, the system will begin tallying the players’ scores.
So far, Destroy Any Website has received quite positive reactions among players. Even some web designers have said outright that it’s the most stress-relieving little game they’ve played in years, and some have joked that they feel like a domineering moderator, deleting whatever they don’t want to see on a whim. Some players have even compared the game to the 2006 viral animated video Animator vs. Animation.
Moreover, Destroy Any Website is just one of the many browser games that have recently gone viral in online communities. Earlier this month, a mini-golf-themed version of Wordle also won the affection of many players, while Floor796 successfully attracted a large number of players by combining Where’s Waldo? gameplay with well-known video game and movie characters.
