As the possible launch date of this year’s Xiaomi Band 11 draws closer, Chinese media recently uncovered related information in the Xiaomi app. This time, the Xiaomi Band 11 is expected to launch in four versions at once, one of which is an “all-metal version” that hasn’t appeared in previous generations. It could be seen as early as next month.

Xiaomi Band 11 series unveiled! Four versions at once, with ceramic and all-metal options, battery remains at 233mAh.

According to a report by China’s Fast Technology. They found traces of the Xiaomi Band 11 series in Xiaomi’s own “Xiaomi Health Research” app. This version lists four models: standard, NFC, ceramic, and all-metal. The battery capacity is 233mAh, exactly the same as the current Xiaomi Band 10, so the upgrade focus is expected to be on materials, features, and health monitoring capabilities, while the design follows the existing approach. The launch is rumored to be in September, possibly alongside the Xiaomi 18 Pro series:

Xiaomi Band has already made extensive use of metal materials in the past—for example, the standard version of Xiaomi Band 10 features an aluminum alloy middle frame, and the brand has also released ceramic editions and metal strap accessories—but so far, no product has actually been officially named an “All-Metal Edition.” Even the first-generation Xiaomi Band from 2014 only had an aluminum alloy sensor surface, while the rest of the body remained polycarbonate. So if the Xiaomi Band 11 ultimately does launch as an “All-Metal Edition” this time, it will be the first version of its kind in the series.

As for which parts exactly are “all-metal”? Some foreign media speculate that the metal could extend from the middle frame to the main body, replacing the sections that currently use plastic or ceramic. If that’s really the case, the weight, feel, and comfort of wearing it all day would be different from what it is now. Metal is heavier than plastic, so for those sensitive to weight, it might take some getting used to. For reference, the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro has a thickness of 9.7mm and weighs 21.6 grams.

Xiaomi Smart Band 11 had two models pass China’s MIIT radio certification back in June — the M2616B1 (presumably the standard version) and M2617B1 (presumably the NFC version) — and then also passed Taiwan NCC certification on June 26. The battery model is BW28 with a capacity of 233mAh, the same as the Xiaomi Smart Band 10. This means that if Xiaomi wants to further extend battery life on the Smart Band 11 with the same battery capacity, it will need to focus on low-power hardware, the display, the chip, and system tuning. However, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 already supports 21 days of battery life, which is more than enough for everyday use.

As for other specifications, there isn’t much reliable information available at the moment. Current reports mainly suggest that the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 will focus on upgrades in materials, functionality, and health monitoring capabilities, while details regarding the display, sensors, and specific new features are still awaiting confirmation.

The screen likely won’t change; the main upgrades are all in features, such as stronger workout modes and more detailed sleep or stress reports. In addition, the sensor upgrade that was a highlight of the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro launched in May this year may also be passed down to the Xiaomi Band 11, with the company claiming a heart rate accuracy of up to 98.2%.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Standard and NFC versions passed Taiwan’s NCC certification at the end of June, indicating a high probability of being launched in Taiwan after the official release. Following the pattern of the previous generation Xiaomi Smart Band 10, Taiwan started selling it shortly after the China launch, so the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 probably won’t be delayed for long either.
