Google appears to have accidentally revealed an unreleased fitness tracker in its latest wave of Pixel 11 promotional materials. The small wearable device appeared in a Pixel 11 ad on YouTube, featuring a narrow, elongated screen, with a design that matches neither the Pixel Watch 5 nor the Fitbit Air, immediately sparking speculation over whether Google is preparing to launch another fitness product line.

Google may have accidentally leaked a new fitness tracker with a display.

These ads were spotted by Reddit users over the past day, and their content mainly promotes the Pixel 11 series and other Google devices. One video shows the Pixel 11 paired with the Pixel Watch 5, while another presents multiple Google hardware devices unified in green. Interestingly, both videos feature the same mysterious tracker. According to reports from multiple users, at least several ads contain the same footage, making the possibility of misused assets less likely.

Um so what the hell is that??

From the outside, this device features Fitbit Air’s pebble-like contour, but the presence of a screen clearly sets it apart from the Air’s screenless design. Foreign media 9to5Google It noted that its overall proportions are closer to the Fitbit Charge series, but there is currently no evidence to confirm its model or product positioning. In any case, its size and screen ratio are clearly different from the Pixel Watch series, suggesting that Google may be exploring a product form that sits between a simple tracker and a full smartwatch.

There is currently no indication that Google is preparing to release a new Fitbit Charge. The Fitbit Air remains a minimalist, screenless fitness tracker, and since Google shifted its software development focus to Google Health, the Fitbit brand’s hardware strategy has gradually consolidated. However, existing Fitbit products are still being sold, which leaves room for Google to introduce another lightweight tracker with a display.

The “mysterious device” in this ad campaign is therefore all the more intriguing. It appears repeatedly across multiple videos, making it hard to dismiss as a simple rendering error or test asset. Even so, the device’s authenticity and purpose have yet to receive any official confirmation, and Google has not commented on the matter. If Google is indeed developing a new fitness tracker, it would align with the company’s product strategy in recent years: using Pixel phones as the core to connect smartwatches, health services, and wearables into a more complete health ecosystem. For users who don’t need the full feature set of a smartwatch but want basic health monitoring, a smaller, lighter tracker with a screen could fill a market gap—and offer a more intuitive way to present information than Fitbit Air.

However, the biggest unknown remains whether Google actually intends to bring this device to market. There has been no official announcement, and the product name, price, and release timeline remain completely undisclosed. The ad itself offers no details, leaving only more questions. Until an official reveal, this mysterious tracker remains an unsolved puzzle. Google may shed light on its identity at the upcoming Pixel 11 launch event, or it might quietly pull the ad, leaving the public to keep speculating: why would a seemingly unreleased Fitbit-style device appear in Pixel 11 promotional footage?
