HONOR recently held an imaging technology launch event in Zhejiang, China, officially announcing a strategic technical cooperation with ARRI, the world’s leading film camera equipment brand. The two parties will jointly establish a joint imaging technology laboratory. ARRI Brings 100 Years of Color Science to Mobile Devices
Building on the Optical Intelligence Evolution Law, HONOR has deepened its collaboration with ARRI, integrating ARRI’s century-long color science into the upcoming Robot Phone. For the first time, this incorporates the LogC3 color system, multiple official ARRI Looks presets, and the AWG3 wide color gamut, bringing cinematic color aesthetics to mobile devices for the first time. The joint imaging technology laboratory established by both companies focuses on three core areas: breakthroughs in optics and dynamic range at the sensor level, the integration of a cinematic workflow from capture to post-production, and the establishment of standards for image authenticity and aesthetics in the AI era. ARRI has also simultaneously released an official statement confirming that its imaging science and technology will debut on HONOR’s Robot Phone.

Robot Phone’s professional imaging performance has also earned recognition from film and television creators. Claudio Miranda, Academy Award-winning cinematographer, gave high praise to the new device’s image quality and innovative operation, noting that it can significantly lower the barrier to creation, allowing the public to conveniently carry professional filmmaking tools and produce high-caliber work. Director Wang Boxue used Robot Phone to shoot the film *Return Day* in an extremely confined space with a single continuous take. He stated that Robot Phone’s color reproduction capabilities can seamlessly integrate into professional post-production workflows, and its lightweight form factor provides greater flexibility in camera movement, allowing creators’ inspiration and creativity to flourish to their fullest.
