American tech company Together AI launched the beta version of its own AI chat application, “Together.ai Chat,” today, and it’s already generating quite a buzz in the U.S. That’s because Together Chat uses DeepSeek R1 and other open-source models for web search, coding, image generation, and image analysis. Today, American tech company Together AI announced the launch of its own AI chat web application, “Together.ai Chat.” Together AI stated that Together Chat uses open-source models such as DeepSeek R1, Llama 3.3, Qwen 2.5, and Flux Schnell to provide users with services including web search, coding, image generation, question answering, and translation.

Go to the AI chat web application Together Chat
After going to Together.ai, you’ll need to register first. Together.ai offers registration options like Gmail, so just pick the one you normally use. Currently, Together.ai provides 60 free messages per day. Whether you’re generating images or asking questions, each action uses one message. Once you’ve used them up, you have to wait 24 hours to get another 60 free messages. Personally, I think 60 per day is more than enough.
Once you’ve registered for an account, you can start exploring Together.ai’s services. Before getting started, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the interface. You can choose whether to enable web search automatically, with options for auto, on, or off. Next, you can select the open-source model you’d like to use. Together.ai currently offers six models: DeepSeek R1, Llama 3.3, Qwen 2.5, Qwen Coder, Llama 3.1, and Flux Schnell. You can pick the model that best fits your needs.
Ask Together.ai about the recent anti-Tesla protests in Europe and the US, and Together.ai will compile the information from online search results into a bulleted list. It even included news about the shooting at the Tesla showroom in Portland, US, which the social media editor hadn’t yet updated.
Also please have Together.ai perform image analysis—upload the file and ask Together.ai about the content in the image.
Together.ai also offers image generation functionality. You can generate images using the Flux Schnell model provided by Together.ai. Just a reminder: you can ask questions in Chinese, but for generating images, you should use English, otherwise Together.ai won’t understand your image generation instructions.

AI-generated content may not be entirely accurate, so everyone should be mindful of the correctness of the information when using it.
Earlier it was mentioned that Together.ai can write code. I asked Together.ai to write a web-based Snake game. Although it did write one, when testing I found it wasn’t usable. I asked Together.ai to check for errors and regenerate it, but the result still wasn’t usable.
