Everyone pursues health differently, and no one set of methods works for everyone. In the past decade, wearable devices have allowed the public to understand their physical status in a quantitative way for the first time. From step count and heart rate to sleep quality, data has become readily available. However, as more and more information becomes available, many people become more confused: What do these data actually represent? Should I adjust my training intensity today, or should I rest more? How do diet, sleep, stress and exercise affect each other?
The reason why top athletes can maintain their best condition is because they have a whole professional team behind them, including coaches, nutritionists, medical experts, and sleep consultants, who work together to provide the most suitable advice based on science and experience. Google believes that this kind of support should not only belong to professional players. Everyone deserves a health partner who truly understands them and can provide guidance in daily life. This is the core concept of Google Health Coach.

Google Health Coach will soon be launched in Taiwan, providing comprehensive and personalized advice that can be adjusted instantly throughout the day
Google Health Coach is built on the Gemini model to provide personalized, instantly adaptable health advice 24/7. It is not just a tool for analyzing data, but more like a smart partner that integrates fitness coach, sleep expert and health consultant. Since launching the public preview version last year, Google has continued to collect user feedback, adjust interaction methods, optimize suggested content, and make coaching more relevant to real-life situations. Starting May 19th, Google Health Coach will officially come out of preview and become part of the Google Health Premium subscription service.

The first feature of Google Health Coach is that it is highly personalized. It will not give you a standardized lesson schedule, nor will it use a fixed formula to apply to everyone. When you use it for the first time, you will have a relaxed conversation with the coach to let the coach know what your life is like: your health goals, daily routine, available sports equipment, whether you have any old injuries, current sources of stress, and even your preferred exercise method. This information will become the basis for the coach to provide suggestions. When there are changes in your life, such as busy work, lack of sleep, physical fatigue, or you want to adjust your goals, you only need to simply update the current situation, and the coach will immediately adjust the subsequent training and health suggestions.

The core experience of Google Health Coach centers around the redesigned Today tab. In addition to compiling various data from the previous day, the coach will also actively analyze your status, pick out the really important information, and provide reminders and suggestions when you need it. In order to make the guidance more comprehensive, the coach will integrate various data sources that users agree to share, including:
- Fitness and sleep metrics
- Nutrition and Period Tracking
- Weather and environmental information
- personal medical records
The more complete the sharing, the more realistic advice the coach can provide. Google has also added the “Quick Reply Button” and “Ask the Coach” functions based on user feedback, allowing you to interact with the coach in a more natural way and get 24-hour uninterrupted guidance at any time.

In addition to the Today tab, the wisdom of Google Health Coach extends throughout the Google Health app:
- Fitness tab: Provides weekly plans, personalized exercise suggestions, and can create customized training menus in natural language.
- Sleep paging: Analyze sleep regularity and help track progress in improving sleep quality.
- Health Pagination: Presents various health indicators in clear charts and summarizes medical records into easy-to-understand key points.

Google also announced several upcoming enhancements:
- Popular features that are more practical: Redesign period tracking, nutrition records and mental health tools, and analyze how menstrual cycles affect sleep and physical readiness.
- Flexible fitness plan: Adjust exercise suggestions based on physical condition, progress and weather every day, no longer tied to a rigid class schedule.
- Step-by-step exercise guidance: provides action guidance with a simple interface and visual images, and automatically tracks progress.
- A more natural conversation experience: the tone is more like a real coach, and communication is smoother.
- Multiple recording methods: Supports voice, photos, documents and PDF summaries, allowing you to quickly record training and diet.

Google Health Coach will gradually push updates starting on May 19th and be officially launched on May 26th. It’s included with Google Health Premium (formerly Fitbit Premium) and costs NT$150 per month or NT$1,490 per year. Users who subscribe to Google One AI Pro and Ultra can enjoy Premium benefits for free. The first wave will be open to eligible Fitbit and Google Pixel Watch users, and more wearable devices will be supported in the future. If your device is not yet supported, Google will notify you as soon as the feature is available.
