Why can’t I see the special effects on the homepage?

If you don’t see the Christmas special effects on the LINE homepage, there may be three reasons:

If the special effects display period happens to be a birthday, the system will give priority to display the special effects on the home page.
If you recently installed the LINE App, it may be that the App cannot download the special effects materials in time, resulting in the special effects not being displayed properly on the day of the event.
Confirm “Playback Effects” in LINE Settings to turn it on, or turn it on again (setting path: LINE Home > Settings > Home > Playback Effects)

If your phone has a display setting for the “Reduce Special Effects” function, you need to find it in the phone’s system settings and turn it off. The setting path reference is as follows:
- iOS version: Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Reduce Motion
- Android version: Settings > Assistance Tools > Remove Animation (*Slightly different depending on phone model and version)
