Are you still complaining that Claude Code hit a wall without using it twice? Anthropic finally listens to developers. Officials announced that Claude Code’s weekly usage quota will increase by 50% from now until the end of July. The discount will last until July 13, covering all Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise users.

Save 50% for a limited time until July 13th
According to an announcement made by the official @ClaudeDevs account on May 13, Claude Code’s weekly usage limit will be increased by 50% from now on, and the offer will last until July 13[1]. All users who subscribe to Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise users do not need to do anything, and the system will automatically apply the new quota.

Taking the Pro plan as an example, if you originally have a usage limit of 5 hours per week, you can use it for 7.5 hours after upgrading; the limit for Max users is also increased proportionally. This is undoubtedly a great boon for developers who need to perform automated tasks, code refactoring, or large-scale project construction for a long time.
The developer community responded enthusiastically: Finally, more cron slots can be opened
As soon as the news came out, the Reddit developer community immediately started talking about it. Someone said: “The previous shared quota was not enough at all, and the 50% increase is a really useful help. Now you can open two more cron slots without worrying about hitting the wall.” Some users also mentioned that at this time, they just encountered the problem of increased Token consumption due to software updates. Anthropic announced an increase at this time, which can be regarded as filling this gap.
However, Anthropic is so sincere this time, probably because it just happened to rent the computing power of Musk’s xAI, coupled with the recent strong momentum of OpenAI Codex, and the promotion behavior in order to attract more users.
What is Claude Code? Why so hard?
Claude Code is a command-line tool launched by Anthropic that allows developers to interact with Claude AI directly in the terminal, assisting in writing, modifying, and refactoring code, as well as automating various development workflows. Compared with the interactive interface of the web version, Claude Code is more suitable for repetitive tasks that require long-term and in-depth operations, so it is loved by the majority of engineers.
However, the long-term weekly quota limit has caused many developers to hit a wall from time to time. When half of the quota is used up on tasks, they can only wait for reset next week, or be forced to upgrade to a more expensive plan. Now the limited-time 50% increase is equivalent to extending the weekly available hours in disguise, which significantly increases the CP value of Pro and Max subscriptions.
Not only overweight, but also the previous multiple benefits
This limited time increase is not an isolated event. Anthropic has made generous offers many times since 2026: when Opus 4.6 was launched in February, Pro/Max users received NT$50 in free credits; in mid-April, they generously distributed points in rewards equal to the monthly fee, up to NT$100 (based on the current exchange rate), demonstrating their ambition to actively expand the user base.
How do I check how much credit I have left?
Users can go to Claude’s official description page orBackstage, check the weekly usage limits and reset mechanism of each plan. It is worth noting that Claude Code has two quota modes: “Weekly limit” is calculated using a rolling time window, and after the quota is used up, it must wait until the next week to reset; the other is “single conversation length limit”. If you use API Key at the same time, subscription restrictions may be bypassed and billed separately. Developers need to pay special attention.
Interested readers may wish to take advantage of this promotion period to make more use of Claude Code to handle automated scripts, code review, test generation and other tasks. It is definitely a good helper that saves time and effort.
