Microsoft predicts Edge browser will be “faster”
Different from the past public impression of the Chrome browser, Microsoft’s Edge browser, also developed using Chromium, announced that it will further enhance “efficiency” and have “very fast” features similar to Apple, which has also attached great importance to efficiency in recent years.
「Edge Settings is migrating to WebUI2 to boost page responsiveness and introducing a series of minor visual and content upgrades to improve overall usability and utility. This includes optimizing for concise wording of individual settings, simplifying the number of pages and reorganizing content, and creating a cohesive user interface.

In the latest Microsoft 365 roadmap, Microsoft emphasized that it has made many performance improvements to the Edge browser this year.
In May, the Browser Essentials UI was enhanced to achieve a 42% speed increase; through high enough efficiency, Edge’s performance increased by an astonishing 76% on relatively low-end devices (i.e…. non-SSD and less than 8GB RAM) – so everyone who uses computers with similar specifications, have you noticed this improvement? In other words, you can consider installing Edge specifically for these computers.

As Let Edge strong again As one of the very fast stage tasks, Microsoft also brings WebUI 2.0, which claims to take into account the productivity advantages of JavaScript while maintaining responsiveness. The foreign media Neowin even quoted the official’s very interesting self-question and answer (the robot translation is as follows):
「我們是否可以同時保持 JavaScript 框架帶給我們的開發者生產力,並生成快速渲染 UI 的程式碼?瀏覽器是否可以成為自己的最佳客戶?如果我們移除該框架並僅使用 Web 平台來構建我們的 UI,我們可以有多快?
這些問題的答案都是:可以、可以與非常快。」
This clearly shows Microsoft’s confidence in this upgrade. And with the gradual introduction of WebUI 2.0 and the so-called “Very fast” streamlined Edge efficiency upgrade, I believe everyone will become more and more aware of the performance improvements of this browser. It’s really quite exciting!
