Everyone’s impression of the so-called “Blue Gou Gou ✔️” seems to be that it is mainly used on social networking sites to allow people to initially confirm whether it is the official account of the person/brand. Gmail “Blue Gou” official certification officially comes to iOS and Android mobile applications
Everyone’s impression of the so-called “Blue Gou Gou ✔️” seems to be that it is mainly used on social networking sites to allow people to initially confirm whether it is the official account of the person/brand. But last year, Google actually began to introduce similar functions to its own Gmail service – and it also has a blue check icon.
Recently, they announced that this kind of marking function will be further extended to the mobile platform, using the official logo and certification badge display method, so that users can quickly and preliminarily determine whether the letters currently received are forged – it is really only “preliminary”, and it is recommended not to believe it (after all, fraud is really rampant now).

Since last year, Gmail has enabled tick icons through BIMI (Brand Identification Indicators in Mail) technology. This allows the sender to initially strengthen the sender’s identity verification mechanism by checking whether there is a certified mark. This allows the recipient to recognize at a glance whether the letter is indeed from an official source.
And when the cursor moves over the blue check icon, it will also explain that “the sender of this email has been verified and they own the domain name and profile logo icon used to send the email.”

Recently, officials announced on the Google Workspace Updates blog page that the BIMI email identification brand indicator that joins the new Common Mark Certificates (CMC) specification will officially come to users of Android and iOS devices – supporting all users including Workspace and personal accounts, and is expected to be rolled out in the next 15 days.

Regarding this feature, Google previously mentioned: “This strong email authentication can help users and email security systems identify and block spam. It can also allow senders to increase their brand trust, give recipients more confidence in the source of emails, and bring them an immersive experience. Everyone gets a better email ecosystem.”
When mobile platform users can also see Gmail’s blue check authentication display, I believe that the identification of emails pretending to be official accounts will be more efficient. This is also after the desktop platform gained the ability to respond with emoticons for the entire message and recently began to introduce it to the mobile platform. Google has further introduced a new feature push for its own email service that feels a bit like a tribute to the experience of using social networking sites.
