Faced with hackers who have already systematized the process of stealing YouTube accounts, it is obvious that the general account retrieval methods previously provided by the authorities seem to be of little use in most of the hacked cases seen on the Internet. However, the YouTube Account Center is clearly struggling to deal with these hacked cases manually. Fortunately, YouTube now has a new tool that uses AI to assist in verification and account retrieval. Incidents of YouTube account theft are frequent, and the official launches a special account recovery tool powered by AI technology
When it comes to YouTube account theft, our website is somewhat familiar with it (eh).
To be honest, YouTube channels may be co-operated by multiple users, plus each person also has multiple devices, and the current intrusion channels can be said to be pervasive (YouTube official examples include hacking, attacks or theft, including harmful content (malware) and spoofed emails disguised as familiar service types (phishing)).
Therefore, when a channel is suspected of being invaded, it will indeed make people confused and panicked.

What’s even more troublesome is that when you confirm that the channel has been hacked, although the official provides three steps:
However, in the face of hackers who have already systematized the process of stealing YouTube accounts, it is obvious that the general account retrieval methods previously provided by the authorities seem to be of little use in most of the hacked cases seen on the Internet. However, the YouTube Account Center is clearly struggling to deal with these hacked cases manually.
Fortunately, YouTube now has a new tool that uses AI to assist in verification and account retrieval.

Compare the Chinese “Recover a compromised YouTube channel” page, the English version of the page now has a new blue button for “Chat with our hacked channel assistant” – yes, it currently only supports English (it seems to be region locked? Because ISwitch to English pageStill don’t see the button) and may not support certain creator types. However, it was mentioned that all creators will be supported in the future.
According to the official statement, this AI assistant, which is dedicated to handling account hacking issues, will guide you to answer questions related to the channel, thereby restoring the changes that have been made after the channel was hacked and getting back your Google account.

So to put it simply, although it is the same as the car accident detection function, it is a functional service with the concept of “I hope you will never use it”. However, it is obvious that there are too many people who have had their accounts hacked. It’s no wonder that officials want to deal with most intrusion problems through more automated processes.
At this stage, we don’t know how useful/practical this set of account retrieval assistants is. However, since the automation function of AI is involved, I still feel that I have to worry. Will the target of hackers also directly turn to the official account recovery function? After all, there are so many weird tricks to steal accounts recently…
