Gemini takes over? Claude app officially supports Android
When generative AI Rasai When chat capabilities and stability have reached a certain level, competition in artificial intelligence seems to have gradually entered a stage of competition for integration, diverse functions and even the volume (?) of chat robots.

The official publicity states that Claude has capabilities beyond OpenAI ChatGPT and Google Gemini. Obviously, it is not as good as its rivals in terms of mobile system support and integration, which has also led to its inability to develop better in terms of volume. Most of the discussions on the Internet and the ease of finding dedicated apps in app stores such as iOS and Android are very real differences in addition to the strength of the model itself.
But at least starting today, Anthropic has caught up with many opponents in the fierce competition in AI. Following the iOS version of the dedicated application, it has now announced the launch of the Android version of the Claude app.

Following the launch of the iOS mobile application in May this year, Anthropic has also upgraded to Claude 3.5, which can easily create web pages, PPT and mini-games (see more:Understand Claude 3.5 Sonnet: actual testing and practical tips shared by netizens), relaying the launch of Android-exclusive applications that many users have been waiting for.

The app on Google Play Store is called “Claude by Anthropic app(Portal)” Claude’s exclusive Android application, its developer name is “Anthropic PBC” – if you search for Claude on your own, this app is currently ranked quite low, so in order to avoid downloading an unknown version, it is recommended to at least confirm the developer name. Otherwise, just go to download through the previous portal link.

I simply tried out the just-released Android version on Pixel 7 Pro. If you log in using email, a verification code will be sent directly to your mailbox for you to enter for confirmation. After logging in, start chatting immediately. Overall, it is quite smooth to use and can respond to inquiries quite immediately. You can also upload data in the form of pictures or files for Claude AI to refer to.
To be honest, basic chat queries are now done very well by several major online services. The more diverse application directions brought about by the Claude 3.5 model upgrade have indeed blazed some trails of their own. And one of the so-called basic functions: the system integration part, is now fully in place to support iOS and Android systems.

Now it seems that although on the Android side, according to Gemini’s strong integration into mobile systems, it should not be easy to see the possibility of opening up competitors to join the system’s AI services in the short term. But at least on the iOS side, it always feels like Claude should also have a good chance of competing to join one of the three third-party services that joins the Apple Intelligence generative AI experience?
I wonder, will this be the next step for Anthropic?
