I believe that all creators will use the computer screen recording function from time to time, right? Using this function, you can share your creations and teachings with students or online platforms through recording. We have introduced a lot of screen recording software before, but what should you do if the device you are using is not your own and you want to record the screen?
This time I will teach you how to use the online tool “FlexClip” to record your computer screen for free. Before teaching, let me briefly talk about the services of FlexClip. The services it mainly provides are online video production and editing tools, which are suitable for personal and commercial purposes. They do not require professional editing skills to use, and they also provide AI functions. The following is a tutorial on using FlexClip to record the screen:

FlexClip is a free and easy-to-use online screen recording tool

FlexClip’s website provides functions such as video editing, video templates, AI, etc. Although the free version can perform some useful functions, most functions still require charges. But the online screen recording function introduced this time is completely free of charge (Please click me to go):

After clicking to start recording, you can choose the mode you want to record. There are three modes: screen + video lens, screen only, and video lens only. It all depends on your choice:

After selecting, then select the settings for recording audio. If you need to record the sound of the microphone, remember to turn on the microphone function on the web page:

If you just record the sound of the screen, just select system audio:

Then a prompt window will pop up. If you want to record the screen sound, remember to check the share audio function in the next window:

For screen recording, FlexClip provides three methods to choose from. One is to record the Chrome page alone, the other is to record the window screen of the application you choose, and the last one is to record the entire screen. After selecting, there is a “Always share system audio” below. Remember to turn it on so that there will be sound in the recording:

After pressing Share, a three-second countdown will pop up:

Screen recording has already started when this screen appears:

We also simply used FlexClip to record a section for everyone to see. Because I chose full-screen recording, I can see that the entire desktop is recorded, and there is also recorded sound. I think the recording effect and quality are OK. Although it looks a little laggy, it does not affect the overall situation:

After recording, you can choose to re-record or download and edit the video on the FlexClip page:

The download format is webm, which has the advantage of smaller file size, but the quality is relatively lower:

There is no need to make too complicated settings in the early stage, just press record directly. For example, my computer screen is 2.7K, and the entire recorded picture is 2.7K:

After saving the video, you can also edit it on FlexClip. However, I don’t know if it’s because I didn’t register or the network was stuck. This screen ran for a long time but there was no response, so I won’t go into more details.

The above is how to use FlexClip to record the screen online for free. Friends in need are recommended to save this page for use at any time:
