And if you want to ask me what are the shortcomings of using Affinity Photo 2 as my main work for photo retouching. In addition to the fact that it does not know how to directly apply the camera’s lens compensation information like Adobe (it is listed, but I don’t know why it is not automatically applied), there still seems to be some deviations in the RAW default data for the Canon body, which will take a little more time to process.
As for the other parts, the most important thing is probably that Affinity does not yet have a generative AI retouching function similar to Adobe’s – in fact, I just found Adobe AI very enjoyable to use a while ago, and I think it’s great to have a long-term subscription! Unexpectedly, I encountered the new user terms and conditions incident (yuanwang~ after all, who doesn’t want to work smoothly, and that’s why they cancel their subscription without looking back).
I am just guessing about AI photo retouching. Although Affinity’s parent company Canva may not provide a buyout function for cool AI-related tools in the future, at least subscribing to Canva will enable you to use it in the Affinity appUse related features more seamlessly, should be expected, right? Anyway, it’s free to try it out for half a year now. I recommend that you get used to it while waiting for their announcement of more integrated features.
