20 years ago, YouTube was founded on the idea that everyone should have the opportunity to create and find a global stage. Modern people love sharing their lives and are bold in creating content, and YouTube has gradually developed into a video platform that everyone loves to use. YouTube, in its Made on YouTube Several new AI creation tools were announced during the event, making content creation easy and fun.

YouTube will launch practical new AI tools for creators in 2025.
Google DeepMind’s Veo 3 Fast is being integrated into YouTube Shorts for free, allowing creators to generate video clips and backgrounds with sound effects based on prompts. The new Veo features will enable creators to add motion to photos, stylize videos, and add props or characters to scenes through text descriptions.
YouTube’s Edit with AI tool helps you turn raw footage into a draft by intelligently arranging moments, adding music, transitions, and narration. It also announced a voice-to-song remix tool that lets you convert dialogue from eligible videos into catchy Shorts soundtracks. All AI-generated content will use SynthID watermarks and content labels to help people identify AI content.
YouTube CEO Neal Mohan said that AI is the next generation of these tools and hopes to empower human creativity. The Veo tool initially launched in select countries/regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
YouTube also launched new features to make brand partnerships easier and more profitable for creators. For example, long-form videos now include new, flexible sponsorship formats that let creators dynamically insert, remove, and resell brand segments. This new format enables creators to sell the same ad slots to multiple brands or different markets over time, turning videos into active assets. Shorts creators will soon be able to add direct links to brand websites for brand deals, allowing creators to drive traffic and convert it into profit. The YouTube Shopping program has also expanded to new markets, including Brazil, and added more top companies such as Nike and BestBuy. YouTube will also use a new AI system to automatically identify and tag products mentioned in videos.
YouTube mentioned that over the past 4 years, it has paid more than $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies. The new flexible sponsorship feature will be tested with a small group of creators early next year.

YouTube also announced its biggest upgrade to Live, featuring new capabilities based on community feedback. Creators can now rehearse before going live to test settings risk-free. Another new feature, Playables on Live, lets creators stream games from a library of 75+ titles while engaging with their audience.

Creators will be able to live stream in both horizontal and vertical formats simultaneously through a unified chat room. AI will capture highlights from the most engaging moments of the livestream, and will also automatically create shareable Shorts. On the advertising side, there will be new side-by-side ads that are less disruptive to viewers, and channel members will now be able to transition from public livestreams to member-only livestreams without interruption.

YouTube says it has added more new tools to YouTube Studio to assist creators during the creative process. Ask Studio is an AI-powered conversational chat tool that provides creators with personalized insights into channel analytics and community feedback. The Inspiration tab has also been updated to offer fresh content ideas and deeper insight into why they may work based on audience behavior.

This streaming company will also expand A/B testing of titles to more creators, so they can compare three titles and thumbnails for each video to see which works best. The collaboration feature also allows up to five creators to be added to a video, and the stream will then be shown to the audiences of all participating creators.

Finally, to help creators combat AI abuse, likeness detection tools are being expanded to all YouTube Partner Program creators. This technology lets you easily detect, manage, and request the removal of videos made using unauthorized uses of your facial likeness—an important step in protecting your identity and ensuring your audience isn’t misled.
