The animated series “Cyber: Edgewalker” adapted from CDPR’s open-world science fiction game “Cyber 2077” was originally broadcast in 2022 and has received high praise among fans. At the Anime Expo event in July 2025, Netflix surprised the audience with the news that a sequel to “Electronic Renegade: Edgewalker” was in production, and the animation team TRIGGER from the previous season will return to lead again and continue to tell other stories that take place in Night City. According to the latest public news, “Dark Warriors: Edgewalker 2” will return again at this year’s Anime Expo, and the first wave of footage is expected to be released on July 3. “Edge: Edgewalker 2” is currently confirmed to have 10 episodes, focusing on a group of new characters, and telling a story that is completely independent of “Edge: Edgewalker” or “Abercrombie 2077”, but also takes place in Night City. As for the actual launch time, it seems that more official information has yet to be released.
Although plot details are still under wraps, when talking about this sequel, Bartosz Sztybor revealed that “Edgewalker 2” will tell a “realistic chronicle of redemption and revenge” and hinted that the style will be completely different from previous works.
