Xiaomi officially launched the Xiaomi 17T Series in Taiwan today (29th), continuing its in-depth cooperation with Leica to push mobile imaging to new heights. The entire series is equipped with the only Leica 5x periscope telephoto lens in its class, and “Leica Live Moment” is introduced in the portrait mode for the first time, so that portraits are no longer just static images, but can capture eyes, hair and emotional flows in a dynamic way, injecting a more vivid narrative into each image. The flagship model Xiaomi 17T Pro is also equipped with the largest 7000mAh battery in Xiaomi’s history, which can be used from image creation to all-day use without any burden, fully demonstrating the three flagship experiences of image, performance and battery life.
Xiaomi 17T Series officially debuts with Leica to create a leapfrog imaging experience
The exterior design of Xiaomi 17T Series continues the sleek and modern style. The micro-arc frame and metal texture craftsmanship make it more comfortable to hold. The deep purple and dark blue of 17T Pro adopt high-grade metallic luster and aluminum alloy middle frame; 17T presents a youthful personality with a lighter and more fashionable vision.
For the screen, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is equipped with a 6.83-inch 144Hz AMOLED; the Xiaomi 17T uses a 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED, providing two options for large-screen immersion and lightweight holding. Xiaomi 17T Series introduces Xiaomi Vision Care for the first time, becoming the world’s first smartphone screen to pass Germany’s Rheinland quadruple eye protection certification, including low blue light, no flicker, rhythm-friendly and smart eye protection. The display can be adjusted according to ambient light and usage habits, reducing blue light, flickering and color casts, resulting in a more natural and comfortable viewing experience.
Xiaomi 17T Pro uses the largest 7000mAh silicon carbon battery in Xiaomi history, which can be used for up to 1.88 days on a single charge, and supports 100W HyperCharge and 50W wireless fast charging. Xiaomi 17T is equipped with a 6500mAh battery and 67W fast charging, which combines long-lasting battery life with fast recharge. The entire series supports 22.5W wired reverse charging to meet diverse usage scenarios.
In terms of performance, Xiaomi 17T Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 flagship processor. The 3nm process brings 32% and 33% performance improvements to the CPU and GPU respectively. Xiaomi 17T is equipped with Dimensity 8500-Ultra, and its GPU performance is 25% higher than the previous generation. Both models can handle high-definition gaming, multitasking, and AI applications with ease. The 17T Pro also offers the only 1TB large-capacity version at the same price point, equipped with Xiaomi HyperAI to provide a smarter experience in text, voice and image processing.
The Xiaomi 17T Series debuts as the “Leica Telephoto Master”. The entire series is equipped with the only Leica 5x periscope telephoto lens in its class, which supports 5x optical zoom and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom. It can clearly present distant scenery, stage performances or urban details. The entire series also supports 30cm telephoto macro, which can delicately capture the texture of flowers, food and daily objects, and expand more creative perspectives.
As for the main lens, the Xiaomi 17T Pro uses a 1/1.31-inch Light Hunter 950 flagship sensor; the Xiaomi 17T is equipped with a 1/1.56-inch Light Hunter 800. Both models combine Leica UltraPure optical design, 1G+6P Summilux lens structure and professional coating to bring purer and more transparent image quality.
The newly introduced Leica Live Moment, jointly created by Xiaomi and Leica, allows portrait shooting to move from static to dynamic narrative. Details such as eyes, smiles, and flowing hair can be completely preserved. Users can also freely collage, create and share clips with the community, so that every “decisive moment” can be continued vividly. Both models of the Xiaomi 17T Series support 4K HDR10+ 60fps and 4K 60fps Log recording, which combine true colors and post-production flexibility. Whether traveling, performances or life clips, they can be completely recorded with a more layered image language.
