Gemini is following Google Search’s lead by adding predictive features.

According to foreign media Android Authority According to the report, after decompiling the Google app v16.21.55 beta APK, it was found that the latest feature is one you would really want to see when using Gemini, because it can save you a lot of time.
This feature is very basic, yet also very powerful. We’re so used to it in Google Search that you wouldn’t even notice it exists. This practical basic feature is “autocomplete.” When searching on Google, you type the first part of a keyword or short phrase, and the webpage automatically predicts the rest, helping you click quickly without having to type everything out.
Since Android Authority managed to activate the feature in Gemini, and you can also see how it runs on the Gemini app in the same way as Google Search, as shown in the video below, after you type a few words, the autocomplete feature shows several suggested options.
Just like the autocomplete feature in Google Search, as you keep typing in a text field, the suggested words become more accurate and more tailored to your needs. Of course, if you don’t see what you need, you can still dismiss these suggestions and type out the entire phrase to get the result you want.
Google is currently working on developing this feature, so it’s still an unfinished product and clearly not yet ready for the general public. One of the main issues with the current auto-complete implementation is that it only works when starting a new chat from the app’s home page, and it doesn’t yet apply to the Gemini overlay for Circle to Search. It’s still unclear when these features will roll out to the general public, but all of these issues should be resolved once Google is ready to launch the feature.
