Recently, Microsoft Edge’s Copilot has become increasingly useful. In addition to summarizing and chatting about the current webpage content and conducting voice conversations, Microsoft earlier announced the release of the Copilot Vision feature, allowing Copilot to read the current webpage view and respond by voice based on your needs, without having to type.
Microsoft Edge browser has officially introduced the Copilot Vision feature, allowing you to get the answer you want the more you speak.
Microsoft Copilot announced on its official X social platform that Copilot Vision has been officially introduced to the Microsoft Edge browser, and it is free to use.

On Windows 11, Copilot Vision’s real-time screen analysis and guidance across apps—such as Photoshop, games, and other software—is limited to Copilot Pro users. So the fact that it’s now being extended to the Microsoft Edge browser is quite impressive.
From the introduction video, compared to Windows 11, Copilot Vision in the Microsoft Edge browser is also limited, seemingly able to see only Edge web page information and unable to work across applications.
Also worth noting: although Microsoft announced this time that it’ll be free, there’s no mention of whether it’s a full rollout. Based on testing, it looks like a lot of people haven’t received it yet. Same for me — mine is still showing that they’re working on it.
If you want to try it, please open it with the Microsoft Edge browser. Copilot Vision URL, will open this webpage, click Try it:
Next, it will ask you to turn on the microphone and volume. If it doesn’t handle this automatically, press the spot indicated by the arrow on the screen:
If successful, you should be able to start using Copilot Vision. If not, you should see the message shown below, indicating that they are still working to bring you the Copilot Vision feature:
Notably, some foreign media reported that even if Copilot Vision can be activated, the feature still doesn’t work properly.
The Verge noted: After several attempts, Edge only asked me if I wanted to join. Even after successfully joining and starting a Vision session, the controls still never appeared. As of now, only a “Please wait…” message has appeared at the bottom of my browser.
Microsoft is trying hard to push Copilot’s new features to more users, but it often gives the feeling of “not ready yet?” Instead of rolling it out to most users at once, only a small group gets to experience it, and by the time it’s truly widely available, everyone seems to have already forgotten about it.
