Pokémon Champions has been a focus for fans of the series since it was first revealed last February. This Pokémon spin-off focusing on multiplayer battles was originally scheduled to be launched on the Nintendo Switch platform in April 2026, but now, the official has finally confirmed that it will not be limited to home consoles. The Pokémon Company (TPCI) announced that Pokémon Champions will be simultaneously expanded to mobile platforms and will be available to everyone sooner than many players expected.

TPCI officially announced today that the mobile version of “Pokémon Champions” will be launched globally on June 17, 2026, and will be launched simultaneously on both Google Play and Apple App Store platforms. Although there is still some time before the official launch, players can now go to the two major app stores to pre-register to ensure that they can experience the game as soon as it is launched. Officials also emphasized that the mobile version will share the same game content and update rhythm with the Switch version to ensure a consistent gaming experience among cross-platform players.

In order to encourage players to join the game during its early launch, TPCI also announced a limited-time login event. From the day the game is launched to September 2, 2026, all players who log in to the game can receive rewards such as Raichu, Raichu Stone X, and Raichu Stone Y, which will be sent directly to the in-game mailbox. These rewards will be available on Switch and mobile platforms simultaneously, so players can claim the same content no matter which platform they choose to play on.

It is worth mentioning that the official also added that Raichu is not only obtainable through events, players can still obtain this Pokémon through other methods in the future. In addition, the Super Stones of Raichu Evolution Stone X and Raichu Evolution Stone Y may also be available in the in-game store at some point in the future, but the exact date has not yet been announced.

For players who have not yet come into contact with “Pokémon Champions”, this work is a free-to-play Pokémon-derived battle game. The core gameplay focuses on multiplayer battles. Players will be able to compete in real-time with other trainers around the world, and create their own teams through different Pokémon and skill combinations. Since the game supports cross-platform connections, Switch and mobile players can compete freely without platform restrictions. In addition, players can also share game progress between different platforms through Nintendo accounts. Whether you are using Switch at home or playing on your mobile phone outside, you can seamlessly continue the same save file, which is very convenient for players who are used to playing across devices.

Although “Pokémon Champions” is a free download model, the game still contains paid items, which are expected to be presented in the form of appearance, convenience props or accelerated progress. The official has not yet announced the complete details of the tuition content, but emphasized that the game itself can be played for free and will continue to provide updates and activities.

With the upcoming launch of the mobile version, “Pokémon Champions” will become one of the few games in the Pokémon series to support cross-platform and cross-device play. For players who love competitive battles or want to compete with friends anytime and anywhere, the launch of the mobile version will undoubtedly greatly increase the accessibility and activity of the game. Next, as the launch date approaches, the official is expected to release more game details and event information. Fans may wish to continue to pay attention to subsequent updates.
