Affected by AI server demand, memory supply and GDDR7 costs, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 SUPER series has not only been delayed, but also reported to be canceled. Players who want large VRAM will definitely be disappointed. However, now there is new news. According to a recent tweet from the leaker MEGAsizeGPU, the RTX 50 SUPER has been “back on track”, that is, it is back in the planning, and this time the lineup may have an additional RTX 5060 12GB, and the name may also be called the RTX 5060 SUPER.

NVIDIA RTX 50 SUPER may not be canceled! New news claims that RTX 5060 will also add 12GB VRAM

Earlier MEGAsizeGPU announced on the community that “RTX 50 Super is back on track. This time it includes the 5060 12G version, or it may have a new name, called 5060 Super.”:

RTX 50 Super is back on track. This time includes 5060 12G ( or maybe it will have a new name as 5060 super )

— MEGAsizeGPU (@Zed__Wang) June 5, 2026

The relatively new focus this time is RTX 5060 12GB.

The specifications of the RTX 5060 currently on the market are: equipped with 3,840 CUDA cores, 8GB GDDR7 memory, 128-bit memory interface, and TGP 145W. For entry-level 1080p game cards, such specifications are not unusable, but 8GB VRAM has made many players feel a little stuck in recent years when 3A games and high-resolution textures have increasingly taken up memory.

Therefore, the VRAM capacity of the rumored RTX 5060 will increase from 8GB to 12GB. As for the implementation method, in theory, 12GB can be achieved through four 3GB GDDR7 memory chips while maintaining a 128-bit memory interface. There is no need to change to a strange narrow bus configuration.

However, other specifications including CUDA core, TGP, price and time to market are not yet clear. The naming is still uncertain. It may be called RTX 5060 SUPER, or it may just be RTX 5060 12GB.

In addition to the RTX 5060 12GB, the specifications of the RTX 5080 SUPER, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER and RTX 5070 SUPER, which have been rumored many times before, generally maintain the original rumored direction.

Although this news makes players happy, they cannot be too optimistic, because the RTX 50 SUPER has previously been suspended. The main reason is memory, but the memory problem has not been completely solved. DRAM prices are still high, and GPU prices are still affected by AI. Even if the RTX 50 SUPER is really launched, the price may not be that low.
