With the Hangouts messaging service officially coming to an end, Google Meet, which integrates multiple video services into one, has now confirmed that it will finally launch the Live streaming video conference live broadcast function for users with as small as personal accounts.
The official description of this feature mentions that when you want to show your video conference to other audiences outside the organization group, you can do so through Google Meet’s YouTube live broadcast/broadcast function. For viewers, it will be like watching a regular YouTube live broadcast. They can pause the video at any time, or even instantly replay previous conversations or live audio and video content. Naturally, it can be saved in the channel for reference in the future, just like a normal live broadcast.
Enabling this feature will require the primary meeting sponsor or Workspace administrator to be eligible to broadcast on YouTube (certification time will be required). Then you can go to the Activities panel > Live Streaming menu in the application service options to set the YouTube channel you want to connect to, and set the program name, language and other information of the live broadcast, and also set whether to make the live broadcast public. After the settings are completed, you can click the “Start streaming” button to start live streaming the video conference content to the YouTube platform.
