After waiting for several months, Taiwanese users can finally also subscribe to the cheapest ChatGPT Earlier Go solution OpenAI Officially announced a global rollout, and the plan is now available in ChatGPT. For interested readers, you must be wondering how it differs from ChatGPT Plus, so the differences are compiled below.

Cheaper ChatGPT Go subscription officially launches in Taiwan! Here’s how it differs from ChatGPT Plus
Although the ChatGPT Go plan was launched as early as August 2025, it was initially only available in the India market, with many countries not having access. As a result, for many budget-conscious users, the only option was to try subscribing through VPN. However, as more and more people started using VPN to subscribe, OpenAI began strengthening their risk controls and implementing many restrictions, so it subsequently became essentially impossible to subscribe this way.
After about four months, OpenAI finally announced in their official community that ChatGPT Go has launched globally, with users in every country now able to subscribe. In Taiwan, the price is NT$290 per month.

With the addition of the ChatGPT Go plan, ChatGPT now offers four plans: Free, Go, Plus, and Pro. The price differences between each plan are actually quite significant. Excluding the very expensive Pro, even comparing Go to Plus, Go is still over 50% cheaper.
Of course, there’s a trade-off for the lower price. Here’s an explanation of the differences between ChatGPT Go and Plus.
What’s the difference between ChatGPT Free, ChatGPT Go, and ChatGPT Plus?
First, the biggest difference, also just announced by OpenAI: in the coming weeks, ads will appear when using both the free version of ChatGPT and ChatGPT Go (that’s right, even if you upgrade to the cheapest paid version, you’ll still need to see ads):
However, OpenAI has yet to clarify how the ads will be displayed, though they did emphasize in the post that ChatGPT’s responses won’t be influenced by advertisements. So you don’t need to worry about ads appearing in the content you receive. What’s more, ads and content will be displayed separately rather than mixed together.
The following are the main differences between the three options:

| Price (Taiwan) | free | 290 yuan per month | 690 yuan per month |
