This rollout of Gemini in Chrome covers multiple operating systems, including desktop Chrome (Windows, macOS) and Chrome for iOS. On Android, users can access Gemini by long-pressing the power button for assistance. And the model powering it all is, of course, the latest Gemini 3.1.
It’s also very easy to use. For the desktop version, after updating to the latest version of Chrome, the Gemini icon should appear in the top right corner. Just click it to enable the sidebar chat. If you don’t see the icon, you can check in Chrome settings to see if it’s enabled: Settings > AI innovations > Gemini in Chrome. Keyboard shortcuts are also available and can be customized in settings.
