After being accidentally leaked through ad assets in August this year and passing FCC certification in September, Google’s rumored new wearable device, the Fitbit Edge, has now surfaced again, this time through retail channel data revealed ahead of launch, giving the public a further look at the new product.

According to tech media Android Headlines Retail promotional materials obtained show that Google is developing a new smart wearable device called Fitbit Edge. Judging from the leaked product images, the Fitbit Edge features a rather distinctive exterior design, with its biggest highlight being its raised display. Compared with previous Fitbit products, this screen has noticeably narrower bezels and the display area extends closer to the edges of the device, giving the overall visual effect a more modern feel.

From an interface design perspective, the watch face style of the Fitbit Edge is very similar to that of the Pixel Watch, as if the Pixel Watch’s circular interface had been readjusted and applied to the new device. In addition to basic time and date information, the screen can also display heart rate, steps, and quick-start workout modes, providing users with a more intuitive experience for viewing health and fitness data.

The back of the device is equipped with a sensor module, and its appearance looks quite similar to the previously leaked Fitbit Air. Both the top and bottom ends of the device have quick-release strap mechanisms, making it easy for users to switch to different styles of bands. Based on the leaked information, Google may even have the Fitbit Edge and Fitbit Air share the same magnetic charger, improving accessory compatibility and lowering the barrier to use.

In addition, metal conductor designs can be seen on both the left and right sides of the device, and there is speculation that these may be used for electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement. This configuration is quite similar to that of the Fitbit Charge 6, suggesting that the Fitbit Edge is likely to continue Fitbit’s recent functional layout in health monitoring, further enhancing heart rhythm and cardiovascular health tracking capabilities.

In terms of colorways, the Fitbit Edge will also maintain a consistent design language with Google’s recent products. According to the information, its case and Pixel Watch Active Band strap will be available in Canyon Green, Obsidian Black, and Olive Green, forming a consistent product identity style with the Pixel 11 Pro series.

In terms of specifications, the currently leaked information mainly comes from a product comparison table for the Fitbit Edge, Fitbit Air, and Pixel Watch 5. Regarding connectivity, the Fitbit Edge is only mentioned as supporting Bluetooth connection, with no Wi‑Fi specifications listed. At the same time, compared with the Fitbit Air, the data also does not mention notification receiving functionality, suggesting that this product may be positioned more toward health and fitness tracking rather than a full smartwatch experience.

As for software and feature support, retail listings include app services such as Google Maps, media controls, music playback controls, and Find My Phone, allowing users to quickly access commonly used functions even without directly operating their phone. In addition, the official specifications state that battery life can last up to 7 days, and it supports both Android and iOS platforms, meaning that regardless of which phone system you use, you can enjoy a complete device pairing and health tracking experience.

As more information continues to surface, the product profile of the Fitbit Edge has gradually become clearer. If the final specs match what has currently leaked, this product is likely to become a new option between traditional Fitbit fitness bands and Pixel Watch smartwatches, further expanding Google’s footprint in the smart wearable market.
