LINE recently announced that it will end support for “LINE applications less than version 11.15.0” from November 1, 2023, and also mentioned that the mobile device version must be at least compliant with Android 6.0 and iOS 12 in order for LINE to be upgraded to version 11.15.0.

LINE announced that starting from November 1st, mobile device version Android 6.0, iOS 12 or above can continue to be used.

According to LINE’s official announcement, users who want to use LINE services from November 1st must upgrade the LINE application to version 11.15.0 or above. Users who use the LINE application version less than 11.15.0 will no longer be able to use LINE.

This time, version 11.15.0, whether the device is Android or iOS, requires a certain version to support updates. Android must be at least version 6.0, and Android 6.0 was actually launched in October 2015. The latest Android version is Android 14, so Android phones that are not too old should be able to update LINE normally.

iOS must be at least iOS 12. iOS 12 was launched in 2018 and is applicable to iPhone 5s and subsequent models, iPad Air and subsequent models, and iPod touch (6th generation).

Whether it is Android 6.0 or iOS 12, they are actually system versions that have been launched for a long time. Generally speaking, the devices on your hands should already be updated to newer versions. However, you can still check the mobile phone system to avoid being unable to use LINE after November 1.
