YouTube, which often brings new video and community-related features, has recently not only targetedCorrection notice comes up with exclusive solution. On the other hand, the latest experimental features to enhance the user experience have also been released simultaneously. Among them, for the fast-forward jump experience part of the “pull the little red dot” operation, the “Easily Find Specific Video Clips” function is also introduced for Premium users to have the opportunity to quickly master the jump content. YouTube tests new jump experience: try pulling up the little red dot to see

At this stage, YouTube’s jump and fast forward function is actually quite easy to use. Not only can you directly drag the little red dot of the current playback progress, the system will also display a thumbnail of the time point you jump to for you to preview; the creator can also simply set the chapter with a time point in the narrative field, and the system will generate thumbnails for different chapters to allow the audience to jump faster.

Now, YouTube combines two functions to quickly find specific video clips, providing a jumping experience between the two.

The operation method is very simple. When you move the time point of the video back and forth, slightly pull the red button up, and a new drawer item will expand. It will be full of thumbnails, and thumbnails will be displayed for a certain period of time – a bit like the concept of time lapse. YouTube officials also have detailed explanations on how to use this feature:

• While watching a video, find the red dot on the progress bar and swipe up to see the video thumbnail.
• In this mode, just drag the red dot or slide the thumbnail to pinpoint the specific video clip you want to watch.
• To continue watching the video, tap the play button.

In short, after activating this video time-lapse drawer, you can skip a few seconds of operation experience by double-clicking left and right on the screen, and directly scroll left and right like a film to jump experience. This makes it easier for people to find the time point in the video they want to jump to through a visual method. This experimental feature is currently expected to last until July 27th, and is limited to Premium account users who can play it first – if everything goes well, after this time, people with general accounts should be able to play it in the mobile app soon.

This simultaneous experimental feature also includes a feature that can quickly unmute mobile search results. To put it simply, you can quickly start the sound playback of the embedded video preview by simply clicking the button in the upper right corner of the video search results – it should be the same as many social applications; you can also control whether to activate CC subtitles in these search bar videos in the same location.

This feature requires the “Play videos in dynamic messages” feature to be enabled in the Android and iOS app settings to be used. So if you turn off this function and can’t find it, it’s quite normal – I turned it off directly because I think the inline playback is actually a bit annoying (laughs).
