As the Google Street View service celebrates its 15th birthday, Google also announced that the time machine-like historical review function will officially be launched on the mobile platform and is confirmed to appear on iOS and Android mobile systems in the near future. However, this new system directly integrates all the computing power and shooting functions that originally required an entire Street View vehicle into this device that weighs less than 15 pounds, or about 6.8 kilograms. This will allow street view shooting equipment of this size to penetrate deep into corners such as jungles that are difficult for ordinary vehicles to reach.
Through the team’s highly customized design, this device still has a camera module at the top, and the host’s new-generation street view camera is integrated at the bottom. It also has an external plug-in design that can be installed with equipment such as LiDAR at any time, and can also take into account the needs of installation in vehicles – it can be installed with a roof rack, and no special equipment is needed.
