Although Intel has released the ARC laptop graphics card part, the desktop independent graphics card is what most players are paying most attention to. So far, the official has not disclosed any release information, but it seems that it may be soon. Earlier, foreign media broke the news that Intel revealed some final details of ARC in a supply chain conference call, including the MSRP suggested selling price and release date.

Intel ARC discrete graphics cards A750, A580 and A380 recommended selling prices and release dates revealed

Earlier, foreign media Wccftech broke the exclusive information they obtained from Taiwan. The initial lineup of Intel ARC desktop independent graphics cards will be these three graphics cards: A750, A580 and A380, which means that the most flagship A780 will not appear in the first wave. Players who want to buy the highest-end graphics cards may have to wait.

The recommended selling prices and release dates of the three graphics cards have also been revealed, but the dates are within a range and there is no exact time yet.

  • The A750 is expected to have a recommended selling price of US$351 and will be released from the end of May to early June. It will compete with NVIDIA’s RTX 3060.
  • The A580 is expected to have a suggested selling price of US$281 and will be released from the end of May to early June. It will compete with NVIDIA’s RTX 3050.
  • The A380 is expected to have a suggested selling price of US$151 and is tentatively scheduled to be released in July. It will compete with NVIDIA’s GTX 1650.

What is surprising here is that the entry-level A380 was released relatively late. It had to wait until July, which should normally be the earliest.

The ARC A750 is a mid-range graphics card with performance comparable to the RTX 3060. The driver is still being improved and may be even more powerful when released. The suggested selling price of the RTX 3060 is US$330, and the ARC A750 is actually a bit more expensive at US$351. However, it should be noted that the suggested selling price of NVIDIA graphics cards is only a reference value, because the RTX 3060 currently on the market can be purchased for between US$479 and US$599.

The same goes for ARC A580 vs RTX 3050, the A580’s $281 is also a bit higher than the RTX 3050’s $250, but the RTX 3050 is now available for around $329.

The price of the entry-level ARC 380 is almost the same as the suggested selling price of the GTX 1650, but the GTX 1650 is available on the market for $220.

So overall, if these three ARC graphics cards can really maintain the MSRP recommended price when they go on sale and are not hyped up, then it is indeed pretty good. Players can save a lot of money to get performance similar to NVIDIA graphics cards. I personally hope that these three graphics cards will be cheaper, the same as or even lower than NVIDIA, which will make them more attractive.

In any case, this revelation is just a rumor, and foreign media did not specifically say anything about it being finalized. Therefore, for players who want to buy an ARC desktop discrete graphics card, it is best to have a base first. If this release date is accurate, there should be further news around mid-May.
