The text-to-image platform PicLumen offers users free and unlimited use of its image generation feature. In addition to its own image generation model, it also provides the FLUX.1 schnell model for everyone to use for free. Realistic, cartoon, and hand-drawn styles can all be achieved.

Experience the text/image-to-image generation platform PicLumen
After entering PicLumen, click “Generate For Free” to register an account. You can choose to register with Google or Apple. After registration, you can start using PicLumen to generate images.
First, you need to choose the model to use, the size of the generated images, and the number of images to generate. PicLumen offers three in-house models: PicLumen Realistic V2 (realistic), PicLumen Anime V2 (cartoon), and PicLumen Lineart (hand-drawn). It also provides the FLUX.1 schnell model from Black Forest Labs.

Also included are the results generated by PicLumen Realistic V2 and FLUX.1 schnell models under the same prompt. The great thing about PicLumen is that it’s free and unlimited for generating images. FLUX.1 schnell itself now requires payment to generate images, but PicLumen provides a free service, so you can still go and try it out.
However, personally I feel that PicLumen’s understanding of prompts is hit or miss; sometimes the generated content has nothing to do with the prompt. But since there’s unlimited generation, you can keep regenerating the same prompt without worrying about running out of tries. In that regard, PicLumen is still more user-friendly than other image generation tools. However, PicLumen’s downside is that it doesn’t support Chinese prompts (though the website does offer a Chinese interface…).
