It was originally expected that WWDC should see Apple’s new feature updates not only for the system, but also for the official application series including iWork or iLife (you still know what this is, although iPhoto is gone…). But now it seems that Apple should gradually release relevant improvements to the official App in the coming time. Continue reading Apple iWork three treasures have been fully updated. Apple iWork three treasures have been fully updated. What new features are available here?
Just a few days after the WWDC developer conference schedule was announced, Apple first updated its three productivity products, iWork, including Pages, Numbers and Keynote. In this version 12.0, the most important difference is probably that the macOS version of iWork also begins to support the system’s built-in Shortcuts shortcut function. Through the more customizable shortcut function, iWork applications can not only support one-way control, but also realize more automation possibilities with the help of Shortcuts.

Taking Keynote as an example, the shortcut function will allow you to directly open or create a presentation, preview a slide show, or start a presentation; Numbers and Pages also have new operation functions for VoiceOver voice control – please refer to the updated details for details. The specific functions that can be achieved through shortcuts are currently summarized into the following items:
Numbers
· Create a spreadsheet
· Open the spreadsheet
· Add columns to the table
Keynote
· Create presentations
· Open presentation
· Preview slide show
· Start a presentation
Pages
· Create documents
· Open file
In terms of Pages, not only the macOS version includes the iOS version, but also brings the option to publish files up to 2GB to Apple Books – which will provide greater flexibility for the creation of electronic books. And it has also been improved for VoiceOver, which can input or read relevant information. An update across the mobile version of iWork includes the possibility to more precisely adjust font sizes to two decimal places.

Numbers for iOS/iPadOS also provides the ability to copy snapshots of table input fields without formulas, categories or hidden values; Keynote provides zoom level support up to 400%; Pages also expands the editing possibilities of inserting page numbers at any position this time, as well as the ability to quickly touch and hold the app image on the iOS home screen to quickly start writing a new document. Some of the above functions can also be found on the macOS version.

The file size of this wave of iWork version 12 updates is about 200MB ~ 300MB. And it has been officially launched on macOS and iOS. If you are already a fan of the shortcut function of dual systems (or even triple systems of iPadOS). This update of iWork’s shortcut-related functions should add many more functions that can be used across mobile and desktop systems to greatly increase work productivity.
