There is a group of people who put their brains into the company’s warehouse. Some workers working for the Russian company “Wildberries” (it is said that there were three people working together) carried out a five-person move to their own warehouse, secretly placing about 20 RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards in the warehouse among the debris and transporting them out, trying to resell them for huge profits. Their operation seemed to go smoothly, but something went wrong during the process of changing hands. A pawn shop owner discovered that they had brought a large number of graphics cards at once and became suspicious. Finally, with the intervention of the police, these people were all arrested, and the display cards were also confiscated by the police as evidence of the crime.
Currently, the Russian ruble continues to depreciate due to economic sanctions, so a new RTX 3070 Ti graphics card can be sold locally for 500,000 rubles, which is about NT$53,900. Comparing the channel price in Taiwan, it is found that it is almost twice as expensive (well, the price difference may not be so exaggerated for some models). Of course, it is still not easy for Taiwanese consumers to buy ordinary graphics cards, because smart sales channels have come up with the universal trick of tying, using popular graphics cards to drive sales of unpopular products, or forcing them to be paired with new computer consoles before they can be sold.
