It also added a Snap to Shop feature: just snap a photo of the product itself, and Perplexity can find related items for you. This is perfect for anyone who spots something they like on the street but is too shy to ask.

Perplexity, the AI search engine, has launched new AI shopping assistant features, Shop Like a Pro and Snap to Shop, which let users complete the entire process from search to purchase directly on Perplexity’s platform, without having to switch tabs to read related content.
For example, you search on Perplexity to create your own indoor library and ask Perplexity to help you find everything you need to buy. Then Perplexity will recommend products an indoor library should have, such as pendant lights, seating, bookshelves, and so on. At the very bottom, it will even directly provide you with purchase options for the products.
If it’s a website that partners with Perplexity, you can directly click “Buy with Pro” to make your purchase without being redirected to another page. If there’s no partnership, Perplexity will still include the product’s webpage so you can click through to buy. Items purchased with Buy with Pro come with free shipping, covering categories such as everyday household goods, electronics, fashion accessories, and more.
Snap to Shop
Perplexity’s newly launched Snap to Shop feature lets you take a photo of a product you want to buy with your phone, and then ask Perplexity about it directly. Perplexity can help you find similar products even without the product name or related descriptions. If the product is from a partner of Perplexity, Perplexity will also include the Buy with Pro service, allowing you to purchase the item in one seamless transaction.
According to the official video, Perplexity’s Shop Like a Pro and Snap to Shop features partner with shopping platforms like Amazon, Shopify, and Wayfair, allowing you to purchase products from these platforms directly on Perplexity. Currently, Perplexity’s new features are only available in the United States, so users outside the US will need to wait a bit longer. Although you can’t use Perplexity’s Shop Like a Pro and Snap to Shop features, Perplexity’s AI search functionality is still very useful!
