Although since Facebook transformed into Meta, in addition to directly using the name of the parent company to stir up the topic of the Metaverse, it feels like it has continued to “make noise” about privacy-related topics – first of all, it made many people “Misunderstand” Due to the new privacy agreement in Europe and the United States, Facebook and Instagram will be withdrawn from the market. But at least as far as what they announced on their blog today, they have finally returned to the basics of product experience and will bring several new updates and adjustments to their signature instant messaging software. Record messages as PODCAST? A sneak peek of three new Facebook Messenger features
Is it to prevent Apple from being more beautiful than before, or is the daily demand in the US market for splitting bills and paying bills really high? In short, right here iOS 15.4 Beta version adds support for contactless payment APILater, Facebook Messenger also announced the official launch of the Split Payment payment function on iOS and Android mobile platforms, as well as several user experience updates.

Although the bill-splitting function is currently only available in the United States, it is a good function that allows you to “clearly settle accounts” with relatives and friends directly using messaging software, so as not to cause a relationship breakdown due to forgetting to pay for a meal (Still proposing the AA system is actually a fuse), I believe it will be a feature that I look forward to launching in more countries – although the editor has the impression that LINE already has such a feature.

If you want to use the Split Payment experience of the Facebook messaging application, you only need to click the “+” in the messaging interface in the multi-person chat room to activate the payment-related functions through the button marked with “$”. From the official demonstration picture, you can see that the default software will split the account equally. But there seems to be a frame for adjusting the amount next to each person’s list, so other settings should be possible. After the setting is completed, it will be sent as a message in the chat room. If you don’t have any objections, let’s just pay the money!
In this update, Facebook Messenger also brings related functional updates for voice and burn mode (although the latter does not feel like a big change).

The voice function part is very convenient for people who are too lazy to type or are really not comfortable typing. Facebook Messenger not only improves the recording experience – you can pause it slightly without having to record continuously into multiple segments. The entire recording interface has become more functional complex Professional, and even better is that compared to the previous limit of recording within 1 minute, it has now been extended to a full 30 minutes – so don’t be too surprised if you suddenly feel like you have received voice messages that you can’t finish listening to.

This time, Facebook also specifically mentioned the experience of using Vanish Mode, which tests friends’ memory – but my phone has not yet added it. Put Facebook Messenger into black mode by pulling up from the bottom (the same action can switch back to the normal interface). All sent messages, GIFs, stickers, etc. will be “burned” immediately after being viewed by friends.

I wonder if everyone will use or look forward to this feature? Personally, I think the new interface for voice messages is really good, but I’m a little worried that it will be a bit annoying if everyone keeps sending super long voice messages. XD.
