As Apple’s App Store ecosystem continues to grow, in addition toFeatured application games that are praised every yearIn addition, many App usages have also been derived over time. But not every application is suitable for all users – for example, applications for specific activities or exclusive corporate and school units will still appear in the entire App Store for download, increasing the complexity of the database. Now Apple is starting to come up with solutions for similar usage scenarios – just… kind of as simple and violent as YouTube’s permissions for videos. Apple App Store adds “unlisted” option, which only allows apps to be installed through direct links
Just like the YouTube platform that many people currently use. Although there are so-called age restrictions, membership restrictions and other mechanisms to filter some video content. But in addition, there will still be content prepared for specific users. Therefore, there is the so-called “Unlisted” option. To allow users with special needs to use it, distribute it through a small amount of hyperlinks.
As the App Store seeks to connect all of humanity, it’s growing to new heights with the support of more than 1.5 billion devices worldwide. The so-called “everything has an app” app usage method also presents more appearances. According to foreign media reports, Apple has recently begun to open a new application publishing option to developers, which will allow developers to only provide users with app installation pages in the form of direct links.

This app page will not appear in general App Store search results, categories, charts, recommendations, or other listings. But it will be summarized in Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager. At this stage, apps that are not publicly available on the App Store are not as simple as setting permissions for content on services such as YouTube – developers will need to submit a form application to Apple and review it before they can obtain such an app publishing option.

Although many people will think at first that this may be a replacement for TestFlight for App testing. However, the App Store will not allow beta or pre-release versions of apps. Instead, applications must be ready for official launch before they can apply for Unlisted Apps/Unlisted Apps.

Apple has not yet clearly released the relevant thresholds for such applications (but there areRelated documents(released), so I’m not sure which types of applications have too many users and are too popular (just… you think you just open them up for everyone to download?) and whether there is a possibility of being rejected. At present, the official recommendation is that such permissions can be used as exclusive apps for corporate employees, apps for specific activities, apps for sales, or apps for research.
