Google NotebookLM Being able to turn content into podcast conversations is honestly pretty exciting, but it doesn’t support Chinese yet, so for Taiwanese users, it’s not very useful for now. Although there’s another one— PDF to Audio It’s possible to generate Chinese podcasts, but it requires an additional fee. Recently, I noticed that MixerBox, which has been steadily working in the AI market, has also launched a brand-new “MixerBox AI GenPod” that focuses on generating Chinese podcasts from Chinese content—and it’s completely free to use.

Also note that it is currently in beta testing, which is why it’s completely free. Once the official version comes out, barring any unexpected changes, it will likely become paid, or the free version will have some limitations.
The default generated voice is the more common AI voice, so it sounds very robotic. Although a more natural premium voice is also available for free, I’ve tried many times and it just shows “high usage, please try again.”
Once you open the MixerBox AI GenPod website, paste the content you want to generate a podcast from into the input box. It supports URLs, topics, or your own content. The content can’t be too long—I found that if it’s too long, errors keep popping up. Then click “Generate for Free” and it will start generating. Also, if the website URL you submit blocks AI, generation may fail and it might produce random unrelated content.
Then wait for the AI to complete generation, about 1 to 2 minutes—it’s quite fast, and some even finish in just tens of seconds:
After it’s generated, you can listen to the Podcast content online, and a URL will be automatically created so you can share it with others for a preview. Unfortunately, it can’t be downloaded.
Scroll down to view the transcript, and you can also edit it. I think the generated conversation turned out pretty good this time:
One thing to note when generating is that the generated Podcast appears to be public; you can see other people’s generated Podcasts at the bottom of the homepage, so remember not to use it for private content:
When you feed content to it to generate, it won’t generate the entire Podcast conversation solely based on your content; the AI will also add other content on its own. Currently there seems to be no way to restrict that:
When will the MixerBox AI GenPod beta end?
We don’t know yet, and the official website hasn’t released any related information either, butOfficialIt says, “We’re currently offering a free trial—you can experience all features without paying a thing,” so it’s obvious that the full version will definitely cost money, or the free version will be subject to certain restrictions.
Can podcasts generated by MixerBox AI GenPod be downloaded?
The official does not provide a download function, but there are some third-party tools that can do it, like the one we introduced before. Neat Download Manager, you can download the Podcast audio.
