As the new year approaches, many people will be wondering whether GPU graphics cards have begun to decline? Will it become more affordable?end of last yearSome graphics cards have begun to drop in price, and since the beginning of this year, cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have continued to fall. So the good news is that the latest tracking statistics report shows that the prices of NVIDIA and AMD cards, whether new or old, have fallen across the board, with the highest price falling by 14%.

Latest GPU graphics card price tracking statistics for January

Earlier, foreign media Techspot released the latest GPU graphics card price tracking report for January. From December to January, the prices of NVIDIA RTX 30 series, AMD Radeon 6000 series, and other old cards on eBay have all dropped. For new cards, NVIDIA GPU graphics cards have dropped by an average of 4%, and AMD GPU graphics cards have dropped by an average of 3%. It is also worth noting that NVIDIA has launched two new cards this month, namely RTX 2060 12GB and RTX 3080 12GB. They are currently difficult to buy, so they are not included in this report.

NVIDIA RTX 30 Series

Among the NVIDIA RTX 30 series, the biggest decline was the RTX 3090, which fell by 8%, followed by the RTX 3060. However, although it fell, it still has a large premium compared to the original price. For example, the RTX 3080 still has to be purchased at a price of more than 133%, so it may take a long time to wait for the RTX 30 series to return to its original price:

AMD Radeon 6000 Series

AMD’s Radeon 6000 series has seen a slightly smaller decline than NVIDIA’s. Radeon 6800 XT has seen the biggest drop this time, with a price drop of 6%, followed by Radeon 6800 and Radeon 6600. Currently, all AMD Radeon 6000 series still have an average price premium of 85% compared to the original price:

NVIDIA old card series

In terms of old cards, the overall price dropped by about 4%, with the GeForce RTX 2080 and GeForce RTX 2060 Super falling the most by 6%. Among them, the RTX 2080 has finally dropped back to about the same as the initial recommended selling price. This is good news for players:

The GeForce 16 series already dropped a lot last month, and it continues to drop this month, reaching up to -10% (GTX 1650). However, the price is still quite a premium now. Those who want to buy it at the original price or lower still need to wait:

The GeForce 10 series also dropped, with the GTX 1060 3GB dropping the most, to -14%, and most of them have fallen below the recommended selling price, so if the situation is not too bad and you are not pursuing the highest game image quality, you can consider this series:

AMD old card series

AMD Radeon RX 5000 series can be said to have the most obvious price drop among all graphics cards this time, with an average of -10%, and RX 5700 even reaching -13%. However, just like other graphics cards, they are still very expensive and you have to pay twice as much to get them, so gamers currently do not recommend buying this series:

The price of graphics cards has continued to drop in the past two months, which is obviously closely related to the downturn in cryptocurrency. Therefore, as long as Bitcoin and Ethereum do not rise as much as in the previous two years this year, players should have the opportunity to buy graphics cards at the original price.
