Coming to CES 2022,ADATANot only has it updated its existing SSD hard drive products, it has also brought “Project Nighthawk” and “Project Blackbird”, which are said to be the industry’s first PCIe 5.0 solid-state drive prototypes, as well as a series of computer components, XPG gaming laptops and peripheral products. It also launched a gaming mouse with a combined maximum capacity of 1TB – you read that right, a “mouse” with a built-in 985MB/s transfer speed SSD: XPG VAULT.
Although it is called a conceptual prototype, according to information from various parties, the concept of a mouse with built-in storage space has actually existed for a long time. However, this so-called “industry’s first gaming mouse with a built-in solid-state drive” can support such a large-capacity SSD. Basically, no matter how much you throw/drop it, it won’t break the track (after all, even if it breaks, it still looks like a broken page). In addition, it also has RGB light effects. It is really rare in the market! But many people may wonder, what is the point of having a mouse with built-in storage space?
According to the official statement, through this approach, players can control games or multimedia content with “one hand (mouse?)”. No matter which computer you switch to, you can quickly transfer and enjoy playing with the support of high-speed storage. The other benefit that can be thought of at the moment is that the hard drive and mouse will not occupy the precious USB-C slot of the computer/laptop, right? Along with XPG VAULT, ADATA’s first wireless competitive mouse XPG ALPHA was launched. It adopts six-level adjustable DPI from 400 to 16,000, and supports three connection methods: wired/2.4GHz/Bluetooth and up to 60 hours of wireless use. Both mice support the ability to customize mouse buttons and RGB lighting effects via XPG PRIME.
