We have introduced things likeAutonomous Robot Kitchen、Autonomous delivery vehicleSuch robots, although they may still not be skilled enough or may have some flaws, will inevitably affect professionals in that industry to some degree, whether more or less. Recently, our editor came across an automatic eyelash extension robot. LUUM, a California-based company, has launched the industry’s first robot that uses AI technology to apply eyelash extensions for customers. This robot is said to help lash technicians gain an advantage while also offering customers a more comfortable service.

Can robots apply eyelash extensions too? American eyelash company launches AI-powered automatic eyelash extension machine

Eyelash robotics company LUUM, based in Oakland, California, has used cutting-edge robotics, computer vision, and AI technology to create an automated eyelash extension machine. LUUM says the automated lash extension machine was tested and approved by a team of doctors, lawyers, investors, and risk assessors before hitting the market, so having LUUM’s automated lash extension machine apply your lashes is completely safe. LUUM claims its automated lash extension machine uses feather-light tools that won’t even tear a tissue when applied to one.

The automated eyelash extension machine consists of two robots: one separates the user’s lashes, while the other dips the extension lashes in adhesive and attaches them to the natural lashes, then cures the adhesive with flashing blue light. During the procedure, the customer simply lies back in the chair.

LUUM stated that its automatic eyelash extension machine is not meant to replace human lash technicians, but rather to offer clients a different choice. Before the automatic machine begins working, a lash technician will first listen to the client’s needs, and then the automatic machine will operate in real time.

LUUM automatic eyelash extension machine full set service costs $170 USD (approximately NT$5,480), and refills cost $80 USD (approximately NT$2,580). The editor isn’t entirely sure about typical eyelash extension pricing in the US, but at NT$5,480 for a full set, that’s at least double the price in Taiwan. At that price, it would probably deter a lot of people. If you’re interested, you can check out the video below orVisit the LUUM official websiteLearn more:
