Windows 11 was released on October 5, 2021. The system build number (Build Number) is 22000. Every version update will always fix some problems. Method 1/4: Using WinVer command
The first method is the simplest. We only need to enter winver during runtime to view the Windows 10 version number. Press [Window Key] + [R] to bring up the “Execute” window, enter “winver” and click [OK] to open it.
In this window, you can find the Windows 10 build and version number.
Method 2/4: Use “Settings”
You can also find the version number of Windows 11 on the Settings screen by pressing the Start Menu button and selecting Settings.
After entering “settings” window, select “System” on the left menu, scroll to the right and click “About”.
The version and configuration of Windows 11 can be seen on the screen that appears on the right half.
Method 3/4: Using command prompt characters
This method is also very simple. Just open the command prompt to view the Windows 11 version. When the user performs some actions that will affect the system, a confirmation screen will often appear, so it is better to press [Yes] to continue (if you want to remove this warning, please refer to “How to turn off User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 11“article).
When you see the “Command Prompt” window, you can see the build number above it.
If you want to view more information, you can also use the “systeminfo” command to view it.
Method 4/4: Use the login editor
Press [Window Key] + [R] to bring up the “Execute” window, enter “regedit” and click [OK] to open it.
The user account control screen will also appear. If you want to remove this warning, please refer to “How to turn off User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 11“article).
Under the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion” path screen, you can see the relevant version records (as shown below).
