Faced with the problem of system fragmentation, Google has not only tried to guide various mobile phone brands to build new phones with native systems as much as possible in recent years. Google document reveals how much RAM and camera specs Android 12’s “best performance level” will require
Although the hardware specifications of the devices in your hands have long been fixed (unless you are using that modular mobile phone that has been cut in half). But you can know whether the mobile phone in your hand has reached the highest performance level of the new generation Android 12 system, which should be regarded as quite worthy of reference. After the recent Android 12 update of Google AOSP was launched, relevant information about the system hardware standard “Performance Class” rating was also mentioned in the latest Compatibility Definition Document (CCD).

At present, it seems that it simply divides the hardware levels into two types. One is Performance Class 12, which is in line with the best performance, representing the highest-end experience, and also represents the highest device performance; the next-level Performance Class 11 rating, Google indicates that meeting this standard represents a high-quality experience (High quality experience) – the overall description does not seem to make people feel that the hardware is bad (eh).

For more precise hardware requirements. According to foreign media reports, both ratings will require at least a 12MP main camera system on the device that can record 4K 30fps or more; the selfie camera must have at least 4MP / 1080p 30fps (this part will require 5MP or more in Performance Class 12). The screen level part requires at least 1080p / 400DPI; the memory part requires more than 6GB RAM, and there are also related reading and writing speed specifications.
In addition, Google also strictly stipulates in this document that under-screen fingerprints cannot interfere with system virtual buttons – after all, there should be people who use this system operation method. It’s also an interesting part beyond the hardware specifications.
