Google Calendar’s new practical shortcut button: Helps you quickly create meeting key record files (see how to use it here)
Faced with the complicated and compact meeting schedule every day, I always feel a little overwhelmed occasionally. Google also understands the difficulties you may encounter, and has introduced various new features in response to the epidemic to help you better arrange online meetings. Recently, it was announced that a new shortcut button “Take meeting notes” will be provided for Calendar (Google Calendar) to allow you to quickly launch meeting key notes in Google Docs.

This function seems simple, but in fact, Google does more than just give you a shortcut button for creating files in Google Doc. It is smart in that it will fill in the relevant information of the meeting on the document page, such as the basic time and date, meeting title and participants in the meeting.
What’s even better is that it not only helps you create a list of key note-taking items, but also puts a selection list of to-do items in it. You will even be asked if you want to share this record with others. Basically, it’s all thoughtful!

This function can also create a meeting record file in the attachment when a new meeting is added. Documents and calendar items will also be automatically linked to each other. This convenient feature is currently available to users of the “Quick Publish Path” who have early access to Google Workspace features; general users will not start receiving it until 10/19.
