After years of waiting, Rockstar Games has finally revealed more details about Grand Theft Auto 6. In addition to officially opening pre-orders for players, the official also confirmed that the standard and ultimate editions of the game will be available for $80 and $100 respectively. At the same time, players also discovered many very interesting new details from the new introduction released by Rockstar Games. Whether it is the plot presentation, weapon carrying methods, or robbery and loot mechanisms, it is hinted that many designs of “Red Dead Redemption 2” have had a profound impact on this sequel.

The plot may be presented in the form of chapters

When introducing the content of the Ultimate Edition of “Grand Theft Auto 6” in depth, Rockstar Games mentioned that the additional content included with this version will run through the story of the two protagonists Jason and Lucia, and unlock various new items “in each chapter”. This introduction also sparked a lot of discussion among fans, because the “GTA” series has never advanced the plot in the form of chapters.
As for “Red Dead Redemption 2” launched in 2018, it is divided into multiple chapters according to the progress of the plot, and even has two epilogue chapters. The entire game world and the relationship between the characters will undergo quite significant changes as the chapters progress. Therefore, players believe that “Grand Theft Auto 6” may also adopt a similar design, opening more new areas and plots as the chapters progress.
The weapon system may be more “realistic”

In the past “GTA” series, players could carry all the weapons in the game with them at the same time, as if the protagonist had some kind of “fourth-dimensional pocket”. He could shoot with an assault rifle at one moment, and then directly take out a rocket launcher or grenade launcher to blast around, and then stuff it back into his pocket and run away as if nothing was wrong. However, this design may become unheard of in Grand Theft Auto 6.
In addition to the chapter design, the official also mentioned an exclusive private garage when introducing the content of the Ultimate Edition. Rockstar Games stated that a “weapon cabinet” will be set up in this garage, allowing players to customize their equipment configuration. This design once again reminds players of “Red Dead Redemption 2”.
Unlike “GTA”, the protagonist Arthur Morgan in “Red Dead Redemption 2” can only carry a limited number of long guns and pistols on his body at one time, and the remaining weapons must be stored on horses. Therefore, players believe that Rockstar Games seems to be planning to adopt a similar realistic design in “Grand Theft Auto 6”.
The looting and looting system is more complex

In addition to the weapon cabinet, the official also confirmed that the ultimate version can also allow players to safely store stolen goods and facilitate the sale of stolen goods, allowing players to store items stolen through missions or other activities in it and then sell the stolen goods later. This design hints that “Grand Theft Auto 6” may bring richer robbery and plunder gameplay. In “Red Dead Redemption 2”, players can loot houses, rob passers-by, and sell the loot for money. Now a similar storage system appears again in “Grand Theft Auto 6”, which means that related crimes may bring a deeper and more important experience in this sequel than before.
Prioritize focus on single-player experience, more online modes, etc.

According to official information, the $100 Ultimate Edition will provide: exclusive high-end vehicles, special weapons, limited clothing, access to the car modification workshop, exclusive styling services, additional single-player story bonus content, as well as weapon lockers and stolen goods storage boxes. It is not difficult to see that all the additional bonus content provided by the Ultimate Edition is related to the single-player mode, and there is no mention of any benefits related to the online mode.
Whether in the official Rockstar Games press release or the PlayStation Store product page, Rockstar Games defines “Grand Theft Auto 6” as a “single-player experience.” When asked by fans whether this game will once again include a multiplayer mode, the official reply simply emphasized that “Grand Theft Auto 6” is a single-player game.

Many players have speculated that the online mode of “Grand Theft Auto 6” will not be launched simultaneously when the game is launched on November 19. However, considering that the online mode of “Grand Theft Auto 5” was only officially launched two weeks after the game was launched, this operation method does not seem to be surprising. After all, when it was first launched, most players should have spent a good period of time to deeply experience the single-player story mode of the game before trying the online multiplayer content. As for whether Rockstar will continue the “GTA+ subscription service” of “Grand Theft Auto V” in the future, it has not yet been determined.
“Grand Theft Auto 6” will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms on November 19, and pre-orders are now officially open.
